What were your objectives in attending MLP? Were they met?
My primary objective was to gain clarity on what I wanted to do next with my career. I came into the program at a time in my I struggled with reigniting my passion. The program allowed me to identify the root cause for my stagnation and develop a game plan to change my perspective and move to a more strategic leadership position on my team. The 360 report was the most impactful since the responses were closely aligned with my personal assessment. Knowing my peers and leaders agree on my strengths and opportunities made creating a personal development plan and leadership training goals a breeze.
What surprised you most about the experience?
I have been most surprised by the personal connections made. I continue to meet with my accountability partner monthly and having a perspective outside of my industry has provided a creativity boost. I also made a connection in my industry with someone outside my cohort so being able to continue to make new connections has been a pleasant surprise.
How did this program change or influence your approach to leadership?
The program gave me the confidence to show up more authentically and to be more proactive in highlighting my accomplishments and advocating for my personal development goals. Additionally the guidelines provided for how to stay out of the weeds and shift to more strategic thinking that has resulted in accelerated results with my clients and increased positive visibility among company leadership.
